| Do you think there really is a glass ceiling for women in design? This is a really difficult question that has so many possible answers. I personally haven't experienced any barriers reaching the level I am at today other than my own lack of specific skills. To totally over generalise, I think it's more a matter of human nature. Guys have that whole alpha male competitive mentality built into them and that pushes them to constantly strive to be the best. The majority of women don't have enough of that desire in them. They are more willing to settle and leave things as they are. They get to a certain level in their career and family life calls. That sounds really bad, but you can't stop nature. That's just one possible reason. I could go on, but I would be in danger of revealing that I don't really know what I'm talking about... Next question! |
| Are there any other sites your work as featured on? I'm in the designer profile section of www.uailab.com |
