Special Markings I seem to be developing a couple of personal styles. There's the clean contemporary style, then the dirty cutup type style and finally the goth girly style. Depends on what I'm doing and if it's personal work, what mood I'm in.

Role Model(s) My Dad (designer), my Mum (artist), Sol Pandiella-Mcleod (designer), Jasmine Francis (designer), Charles Rallings (creative director). All people I've worked with and who've helped shape me.
How did you get to where you are? Artistic parents encouraging my creativity > high school art & photography > university > 3 fulltime jobs > now freelance design and some exhibitions with other artists
What process do you usually go through to get a design? How are you inspired? 1. read/discuss brief 2. sit and think and doodle 3. research - look at related books, mags, online 4. sketch rough layouts on paper 5. go to the computer and create, with music playing to help the creative flow
Do you find it makes a difference being a girl in the web design industry? Not really, though at some stages in my working life I've found there's a bit of a 'boys club' mentality present in pockets of the design industry. I've usually worked with mostly female designers in past jobs but I'm currently working with two male designers and they're fantastic. I think it's nice to have a mix.
